5 Simple Recipes For The Best Homemade Face Moisturisers

I always use raw shea butter in many of my recipes. You can use refined shea butter if you don’t like the smell of raw shea butter.

I prefer raw organic shea butter because it has lots of minerals and vitamins compared to refined shea butter. Shea butter has a comedogenic rating of 0 and it does not clog your pores.

So, let’s get started…

Homemade Moisturizer For Dry Skin

1/2 cup raw shea butter

1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil

1/2 tbsp squalane

2 drops of lavender essential oil

Homemade Face Moisturizer For Sensitive Skin

1/2 cup raw shea butter

1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil

1 tbsp calendula oil

1/2 tsp colloidal oatmeal

Homemade Face Moisturizer For Aging Skin

1/2 cup raw shea butter

1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil

1 tsp pomegranate oil or squalane

2 drops frankincense essential oil

DIY Face Moisturizer With Aloe vera For Oily Skin

1 tsp Hemp Seed Oil

1 tsp Grapeseed oil

4 tsp aloe vera gel

1 drop of lavender or tea tree essential oil

Mix the ingredients in a small bowl. If the mixture is too thick or thin, add more or less of each ingredient until it reaches the right consistency. Apply generously to your face and neck.

How To Make

1. Cold process – You can just mix the shea butter, oils, and essential oil in a bowl and whisk it until fluffy. Store in a tight container.

2. Hot process – You can melt the shea butter and oils first then add the essential oils after the oils cool down. After that stir well and store in a container.

3. For Oily skin types, no heating is needed. Just mix it together until well combined.

So, which recipe do you want to make? You can substitute the oils and the essential oils that suit your skin.
